Dogmatics is the branch of theology which tries give an analytical reflection on Christian doctrine. The goal of this course is to present the teaching of the Church concerning these topics in their historical context in order to develop the ability to formulate the christian doctrine as relevant as possible for the present age.
In the second semester we are going further with anthropology, chritology, soteriology, sacramentology, pneumatology and eschatology.

The courses of the first semester are going about the self-definition of dogmatics, the doctrine concerning revelation, Holy Scipture, faith, God and His attributes, and the first part of anthropology.

Paul Tillich (1896-1965) századunk egyik legkiválóbb és maradandó hatású teológusa ebben a nagy átfogó műben summázta szerteágazó és gazdag munkásságát. Tillich a német romantika hagyományát ötvözi a fenomenológia és a mélylélektan felismeréseivel. Teológiai célkitűzése, hogy korunk összefüggéseiben választ adjon a létezés nagy kérdéseire. A könyv öt nagy kérdés-felelet csoport köré rendeződik: ész és kijelentés, lét és Isten, emberi létezés és Krisztus, az élet kétértelműségei és a lélek, a történelem értelme és Isten Országa.
