Between March 28–29, at Sânnicolau de Munte, a meeting took place between the leadership of the Reformed Church District near Piatra Craiului and the faculty of the Protestant Theological Institute. The event was hosted by KreSpa, a property owned by the diocese.

During the Tavaszy Conference Days, held on March 19–20, Dr. Fazakas Sándor addressed the issue of “a church without theology and theology without a church”. The separation of these two spheres leads to the loss of fundamental values for both. Acknowledging this, the leadership of the Reformed Church District near Piatra Craiului - Bishop Bogdán Szabolcs, Chief Notary Dénes Lukács István and General Director Rácz Ervin - invited the faculty for a meeting of spiritual reflection and professional consultation. The main goals were to strengthen fraternal and collegial relationships and to foster mutual understanding.

Participants discussed their vocation as educators, collegial relationships, the teacher-student dynamic, accomplishments they are proud of, and unresolved challenges. The organizers ensured that each participant could express their views and that all perspectives were considered. Despite the diversity of opinions and approaches, all shared the same passion for the vocation of university teaching, which helps overcome challenges and develop new plans. The church leadership assured the faculty of their support in addressing the issues raised.

The meeting also served two additional purposes. The Reformed Church District near Piatra Craiului has been operating the YouTube channel ÖröKre (https://www.youtube.com/@OroKRE) for a year and a half, publishing daily short meditative videos. At the request of the Church District, the faculty of the Protestant Theological Institute reflected on the story of Lazarus’s resurrection (John 11). Most of the videos were recorded during this gathering, and will be published online in April.

Beyond spiritual and intellectual renewal, the meetings are also intended to provide physical rejuvenation. That is why the venue is always a well-equipped retreat center. KreSpa, owned and operated by the Church District, provided thermal water and sauna access to faculty members, where collegial and friendly discussions continued late into the night.

The organizers took care to ensure the event was not exhausting or perceived as an extra burden. Both the meditations and the concluding communion service were led by the church's leadership. The faculty members expressed their gratitude for the idea and its successful realization.

The next similar event will take place April 4–6, when the Church District will meet informally with its students in Șinteu. The faculty are also invited by the Reformed Church District of Transylvania to Ilieni for professional and collegial consultations on July 7–8.
