The Administrative Council (aka Academic Council)
- Art. 32. The Administrative Council assures the operational administration of the PTI at the university level, according to art. 207 of Law 1/2011.
- Art. 33. In conformity with art. 211, par. 7 of Law 1/2011, the Administrative Council of the PTI is nominated by the Supporting Churches. Its members are: the Rector, ViceRector, Dean, the General administrative director and the Chief accountant, the bishops and delegates of the Supporting Churches, as well as a representative of the students. The Administrative Council is presided over by the Rector.
- Art. 34. The Administrative Council assures the operational administration of the PTI and applies the strategic decisions of the university Senate, in conformity with art. 213, par. 13 of Law 1/2011. In addition, the Administrative Council:
- a) establishes in operational terms the budget of the institution;
- b) approves the budgetary execution and the annual balance;
- c) approves the proposals for announcing various teaching and research positions;
- d) acknowledges proposals concerning new study programmes and formulates proposals for the Senate concerning the termination of study programmes which no longer fit the Institute’s mission or which are academically and financially inefficient;
- e) approves financial operations which supersede the limits previously established by the Supporting Churches;
- f) proposes for the Senate long- and mid-term strategies and policies concerning the PTI’s areas of interest;
- g) it makes decisions concerning the patrimony of the PTI.
- Art. 35. The organisation and functioning of the Administrative Council are detailed in its own regulation, which constitutes an annex to the present Charta.
