On this closing service of the academic year, twelve new graduated MA students have made a solemn vow to be faithful to their call in the service of the church in the years to come.
Final service of the academic year
The church service was led by bishop István Csűry of the Reformed Church District of Királyhágómellék, who provided a sermon based on Luke 7,46.
János Gyenge, advisory member of the Directorate of the Transylvanian Reformed Church District, reminded the graduating students and the attending congregation of the 2nd Helvetic Confession chapter 18, section 14, regarding the duties of the ministers. This event was followed by the vow of the newly graduated students, promising to be faithful to their name as theologians and servants of Christ.
During the academic year of 2015-2016 twelve students have attended this ceremony:
- Nine students from the Reformed Church District of Transylvania: Benedek Csongor, Kovács Edith Bella, Kristály László Zsolt, Madaras Mihály Attila, Szakács Zsolt, Székely Szilárd, Szigeti Árpád, Szigeti Simon Emőket, Szövérfi Mihály,
- and four students from the Reformed Church District of Királyhágómellék: Fehérvári István Csaba, Kiss Bálint, Kiss Csilla Ilonka, Vékony Roland Ádám.
The ceremony was closed by a farewell speach of the representative of the graduating students and a friendly handshake with the former teachers from the Institute.
