Az előadás Hab 2:4b az Újszövetség és a keresztyén teológia rendkívül nagy hatású szövegének reformáció-korabeli értelmezéstörténetével történetével foglalkozik, Luther és Kálvin Habakuk 2:4-hez írt magyarázatai alapján. Az előadás fölvázolja, hogy e két kommentátor részben eltérő, részben hasonló hermeneutikai alapelvei hogyan konkretizálódnak e konkrét szöveg magyarázatában. A tanulmány rávilágít arra is, hogy exegetikai, nyelvészeti és hermeneutika-történeti ismeretek birtokában hogyan viszonyulhat a mai teológia ehhez a gazdag értelmezéstörténeti örökséghez.

In 13th chapter of the Book I of his Institutes Calvin makes a reference to Chrysostom’s five homilies, which were composed against the sect of anomoians. The purpose of this short paper is the analysis of this reference. In the first part we present the context of the reference, namely the demonstration of the essential unity of the Triune God. In the following section we discuss the anomoian heresy and we try to unfold to which passages from the homilies of Chrysostom Calvin referred.

The International Congress on Calvin Research has been meeting regularly every four years since 1974. The group is essentially concerned with theological and historical research on Calvin, the beginnings of the Reformed Church and its theological traditions in the 16th century, as well as the history of its influence. The goal of the congress is, on the one hand, to provide a platform for a worldwide international scholarly discussion of the latest research in this area, and on the other hand, to further the next generation of scholars.
